Simply minds. They redistribute food and wealth. A huge amount of the world's people don't know how to farm or feed there people. People are lied to by communist. Id agree certain companies of people who are not Anglo-Saxon run companies that are toxic but there doing that to all of us. We pay the most in tax and have redistribute to the world. Our dr go stitch up girls in other countries who been raped and had babies by age nine. The world is full of simple minds. I made you from the potters clay. First off the highest rates of child abuse and phycopathy in the world are the American Indians. Thats why sellers had to put up stockade walls. White people were here way before. They were murdered like communist propaganda will cause again. White people are your reptile gods who gave fore and technology and religion. One day you evolve to be white people. Its called evolution and its fact. Your the evil. Our people helped American Indians. They still get garenteed income. They married into our family's unless they were killing and hurting. I promise you when simple minded people come in like in Europe there not gonna pay us a garenteed income. Like the millions of raped girls in Europe who are innocent. They envy and don't want to fight men so they rape little girls and steal money while the evil guy works to pay there way. You people are simple minded. We are the only that end slavery. You can buy a slave today in Africa or Asia.

Stone age people got pushed out of the way. History is full of that happening. Spanish stole the land from the native Americans, Anglos stole the land from the Spanish/Mexicans-- that's bad, yet were the Mexicans really developing California's interior? Not really, but the Anglos did a land-grab and the land prospered. Like all empires, the U.S. empire has been based on some people suffering, but it's minimal compared to past empires, so, the U.S. is a mixed bag, but the best, bar none. Love it or leave it? I choose loving it, gladly, and wish it a better future and am proud to be a U.S. citizen. I don't need propaganda films to send a shiver down my spine when I see our flag. God bless American!

This is obviously masonic handy-work.
the symbol midway through with the many hard to decipher acronyms is a blatant all seeing eye.
Not to mention the narration mentions the golden dawn outright. The statue of Liberty is a maritime symbol tied to masonry and pirating. she/he is holding the fire of Prometheus, the fire of creation, invention, and thought stolen from the gods in Greek mythology. There is nothing American about that statue. Furthermore, liberty is not freedom. the word liberty imply's that some one is granting you that liberty witch is very different than an inherent freedom. figure it out people! we've been had!

Man if you argue that this movie is too American I urge you too find some place else on the face of the earth that is "better" and leave this great country of which we call home. To those who think we need to "Progress" I say, Nothing can be gained without losing something of equal or greater value.
One can not progress without first leaving something behind, destroying something, and I say, May these values not be left behind, May these values not be destroyed. These values are equal, just, and fair. May our liberty never be tread. May God bless America.

I am by no means anti-American. I'm an American and I love my country and the values it embodies. However, it's impossible to pretend that the US has been perfect and all decisions have been made for the most honorable and altruistic reasons.
I find it rather laughable that it claims that the Colonists and American settlers shared the land with the Indians and Mexicans. I mean, come on! We went to war with Mexico because we wanted their land and they didn't want to give it up.
This kind of ridiculous idealistic revisionist history is a huge disservice. It's one thing to focus on the positive portions of history, but another to outright lie about the negative ones.
Oh well. At least this isn't being used in classrooms today.

It may be flag waving, but as Irving Berlin said in song: Can you think of a better flag to wave? Whatever is said by anyone, whatever we say, be it right or wrong, we have the freedom to say it. Whether we agree or disagree ... our opinions are protected. In some other countries, as we all are well aware - an expression of creative or political thought can cause death to not only self, but an entire family, village, culture ... We also have choices. If we do not like what we see or hear, we can always try to change it. If all else fails, we can also leave. I suspect there will be many to hold the door open...

I also don't see anything to get upset about. It's an old movie from a more innocent time, and there are a lot of ideals in it that we shouldn't forget to shoot for. It definitely could be shorter; Lady Liberty's voice starts to get annoying at around 5m, and I'm more patient than most people. But the ideals behind the propaganda are something to remember. This film was trying to draw a line between us, communism, and nazi-ism. It succeeds. If we want it to mean something to us now, we can take it and use it to draw a line between how we want to live and how the many in the government would like us to live.

I'd say the greatest country in the world is one where people aren't so brainwashed to believe they ARE the greatest in the world.
There is no 'greatest country'.
People should appreciate the country they inhabit, and make that country better. It's wrong to downplay other cultures and countries just because they don't live the same life as you.
I'd say America is a pretty good place and they're DAMN smart at marketing, but with the attitude they have towards the rest of the world (ie. believing they have the right to push their beliefs/morals/ethics on other nations by means of force), it's no wonder that the USA is constantly being thought of as a greedy power-hungry nation.
The Americans that I've met OUTSIDE the USA (ie. the last few trips I've made to Europe) are SHOCKED that they can't spend American dollars in other countries.
That says a lot about the attitude of the American people. It's embarassing, really.
America is a beautiful country, but I've met too many of its people that aren't making the WORLD a better place.

if you believe in karma then it is easy to understand why america is the greatest country in the world. we are the good guys, so we get all the good stuff. the evil in the world that america tries to eradicate, can not b dealt with in a so called fair or PC manner. sometimes the good guys have to do bad things to keep the real evil doers of the world in check. just think of the USA as a tough older brother who may give you a punch in the arm once in a while for annoying him but will stomp the shit out of any bully that fucks with you and is always there to help you out and give you guidance.

i think it's called pride, like if your country did anything mentionable, the feeling you would get (hypethetically of course in your case). i heard you were from canada and they don't do much to speak of aside from incorrectly calling ham bacon and maybe snowball fighting. stop attacking us while you piggyback through the globe on our dime. movie is not that great but not that bad either so to set things right i give 4 stars.

Dated footage, but a good narration. Probably made in the early 1950's, during the McArthur era. I wish they would have used a better model of the Statue of Liberty. It looked like a cheap cigarette lighter. Personally, I love this country and think more updated films like this should be made to remind people how wonderful the United States is.

Everyone knows that we are really the evil empire right? The great satan? I mean just the fact that we can call this propaganda and not get decapitated is just wrong. It's bushes fault all that copper was wasted to make that stupid statue where the idiot immigrants used to wait in line to get in legally, after being cleared of cumminicable diseases. Thank god that barbaric practice is over.
We need folks like Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte and Hugo Chavez to shut down all this annoying free speech. The world needs to know that bush is a demonical character from the abrahamic religions written by primitive minds thousands of years ago... believe them.
Or believe he is a reptile new world order leader. Or just blame the bumbling texan for everything wrong, just because your friends, or favorite actor does. It's popular, shit I might even start doing it to get laid more.
Amazing that someone points this out as propaganda while thousands of communications between current enemy forces are considered artistic expression or citizen journalism and get no comments but from a few concerned citizens.
Let's take a look at US history and see where we went wrong:
1. Independence- great idea on paper. The slavery and women's suffrage issues contradicted the words of the declaration, but the seed was planted.
2. Constitution- The very thing that allows "intellectuals" and malcontents blirt our unfounded and ridicules statements about their twisted version of reality. Even if said speech critisizes the document itself... catch 22. Still, it's idea was revlutionary. It is THE document that guaranteed us rights which we hold as genetically fused into our souls.
3. Abe Lincoln (R) and the emancipation proclamation. Yes a republican freed the slaves. Like Byrd the klansmen it kinda throws a wrench into the anti american momento of the left and the democratic party's oppression of the perpetuated under class.
4. Isolationism- great idea. Let's wait till we are dragged into enormous global conflict instead of nipping things in the bud. The Germans appreciated our poition on that, twice... makes you wonder how liberal jewish people could vote for the party that procrastinated while their relatives were roasted on an open fire, jack boots sifting through their clothes.
5. Equal rights, womans suffrage, labor unions, etc- All created at a time when needed. Civil rights leaders, hummm were they not the republicans again??? have to google that one a bit to see it, conveniently hidden maybe? They risked their lives to get laws passed. Mission accomplished. Now stop holding minorities hostage and let them reep what you have sown. There are laws in place to protect them, don sharpton, on this day of your daughters wedding, we ask a favor.
Labor unions were needed in a time when children were forced to work and workers were subjected to hazardous and abusive work environments. Well thanks to OSHA, ECOA and other agencies, our rights are protected. There are plenty of overtime lawyers and lawsuits for those that feel their employers are breaking the law. Yes there are laws on the books, why then do we still need unions? Ask don sharpton and the other ricco act violating leaches that feed off out labor force. They also think a fork lift driver should make $20 an hour... wonder why are jobs went to india and mexico?, but don't worry, the mexican workers will be bringing those jobs home when they become citizens shortly.
Well now that women have the right to vote, which is good. And slaves are free, which is good, and employers cannot legally abuse workers, which is good. And since you cannot legally discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, creed or familiar status, you would think that a thank you and we'll call you again if we need you in in order, right? Oh no, keep pushing and creating careers for sharptons and jacksons who have contributed nothing to their community but negative publicity and anymosity from observant folks who see through all the BS. Oh and here's a good one, everytime someone like bill cosby or someone comes along and tries to tell folks to stop perpetuating the blame game and move towards progression, they get heckled and called names that imus can't say but ludacris can. In summary, these extortion industries still feed on ignorance and fear, the things that caused the prejudice and hate in the firts place. We have come full circle.
6. Countercoulture, free love, peace movement-
Tune in, turn on and drop out. Some might interperet that as liberating, sounds like laziness and wasted lives to me. I tuned in and turned on myself, found it impossible to drop out once I saw what life was really about. Drugs should be legal. Each user should be allowed to cultivate their own personal crop of whatever natural psychoactive plant they choose. Get the drug dealers off the streets, stop the murder and theft for drugs one could grown in their window sills. Spend the money we waste jailing and chasing these people on rehab for those that want it. Seems obvious right?
Free love is a great idea, especially when it comes to STD's, unwanted pregnancies, etc. Let's also talk about the gay issue... I am not religous, I think religion is another crutch for the masses that can't handle the truth that we are just decaying matter. But biologically speaking, homosexuality is a dead end. Without test tubes or turkey basters, there would be no more people if gay was normal. Now I could care less if they marry each other or marry a tree. I just don't need to hear about it with parades of leather assless chap wearing dudes with handlebar mustaches acting like the village people. What does one's sexual preference have to do with horrible fashion accesories? Why don't all the women who think they are men and men who think they are women hook up? The point is non hetero sex does not (in normal cases) support population growth.
Even on a smaller level, the womans liberation movements goal is to put a woman's career first. Lessening the priority of child rearing is another direct blow to population growth. In fact all of these counter culture movements, whether their intent was good or not, statistically lead to smaller families, dismantling of the family unit, distortions of gender identity and other cultural lethal practices that we can see in action today. Look at our schools, our gangs, our inner cities. You can't tell me it was like this in 1960. Violence on TV, in music and in video games is the least of our problems. They are the symptoms not the problems. The real problem is irresponsible parents. I have waited 35 years and am finally prepared financially and emotionally to have a kid. I heard a news article about a single woman with 3 kids that is pregnant AGAIN and complaining about how she cannot get benefits or some shit. WTF???? Why on earth are you still having children if you do not have a job and a father to help raise those kids? Why shold I pay your tab becuase you chose bits and pieces of your catholic upbringing when it comes to rubbers, but not to sin? No one sees the irony here?
Finally, I know I got off base on this but sometimes I feel like things that are so blatatly obvious to me are either ignored or dismissed. I have been attacked and insulted for taking positions that anyone with a heart and a concious would come to if they looked at all the facts.
7. That leads to the bush bashers, anti usa folks. Everything is not only bush's fault, it's our fault. We started the crusades (we were not the ones fleeing religious persecution). We started the war on terror (the iranian revolution that took our folks hostage in 1979 was our fault). We torture people (taking nude pictures and PRETENDING to electrocute terrorists, compared to all the videos on here of beheadings and stonings, please- there is no comparison). We are an empire (yeah, no shit). We are making colonies (no, colonies are places your people go and live, do you thing there will be mass migration to Iraq and Afghanistan?). Iraq has nothign to do with terrorism (maybe it didn't, funny how fast they can instantly learn jihad like that though).
Whatever, the item is ok, but the fact that it and other pro USA stuff on here gets the reception it does is amazing. The very fact that the laws protect your right to say bush is hitler and other retarded ass shit, should make you realize how great this place it. It is the greatest country in the world, period. Half of all emigrants from other countries come to one place, want to guess where? This crappy ass country that always bails the rest of the world out of the shit barrel. I'd say god bless the USA but I don't have to say that, or believe in god if I do not want to. How friggin cool is that? Appreciate what you have while we have it...

An alright film made laughably bad by the shots of the Statue Of Liberty, which uhhhh it's NOT. It looks like either a lighter or a cheap replica. The 'flame's size makes it look like 20 feet in real life. Anyways, after that, is a very propagandistic American Gung-ho speech made by "liberty' about how wonderful it is to live in Amerca, and how less free, well, everyone else is.
